I got together with my mom for lunch today. We met at a restaurant and I noticed right away she didn't have her glasses anymore! She looked really phenomenal. She said she wanted it to be a surprise. I asked her if she got contact lenses, but she told me she actually just decided to go ahead and get Lasik surgery. She said at her age she didn't want to be fooling around with the contact lenses. I knew she told me she was going to get some kind of makeover but I figured it was just going to be a new haircut or something! Even the waiter complimented her. He was an older guy. You could tell he was definitely interested, until he caught a glimpse of the ring on her finger!  My mom definitely looked more confident. She was telling me she never really felt too comfortable with the glasses. She said they didn't really suit her personality. After seeing her today, I had to agree. I asked what dad thought of it, but she said I was the first to see it so far. She wanted to surprise him too when he comes back from his business trip. Anyways, after our lunch it got me thinking that I might look into the Lasik surgery for myself. I was really impressed!
