LOCAL INTERNET USE
So I am writing this from a hotspot at the local coffee shop in my neighborhood. It is sad because it is not even free I have to play hourly because my internet is out at my home. It is unbelievably aggravating to wake up in the morning and have your browser stuck on some random, mis-googled golf aid site that my roommate probably was searching for the night before. And of course when you call the internet company, you know, the technical support line, they cannot tell you a thing about what is going on. I would think the technical support of all people would know why my internet is out randomly, but nope, I just have to sit tight because they are working on the problem. I would normally change my internet company immediately, but then they would have to come out and connect it, only after my current company comes out and disconnects the service that does not work anyway. Plus there would be the early disconnect fees, the new connection fees, the waiting between 8 A.M. and noon for someone to show up at 1:30 P.M. I just figure it is not worth the hassle, especially since the same thing will eventually happen with the new company. I had the whole entire day planned out to not leave my apartment, but yet, here I am, paying at a hotspot on top of what I pay for internet at home, to check my bank account. Sometimes technology does not seem worth the trouble.
